What is a flæskesteg sandwich?
A flæskesteg sandwich is the Danish Christmas classic wrapped in bread: crispy roast pork with crackling, red cabbage, cucumber salad and a dollop of brown gravy. The crackling is what it's all about – it must be golden and crunchily crisp, while the meat is juicy and dark.
At our concepts the suckling pig is roasted whole over open fire, so the crackling gets crispy and the meat juicy. The sandwich is served with homemade red cabbage and cucumber salad – and brown gravy of course. It's the street food version of the Danish Christmas dinner.

What is gløgg?
Gløgg is warm, spiced red wine – a Danish and Nordic Christmas tradition. The wine is heated with cinnamon, cardamom, cloves and sugar, and served with almond slivers and raisins at the bottom of the cup. The gløgg is often accompanied by a piece of æbleskiver with jam and sugar.
Gløgg can be made with alcohol or as an alcohol-free version with juice – both are on the Christmas table in December. The warm, spiced scent is the very definition of Danish Christmas cosiness.

What is a julefrokost?
Julefrokost is the great Danish Christmas dinner – a cold and hot buffet filled with herring, fish, a cold table with roast beef, roulade, head cheese and meatballs, and a hot table with roast pork, medister, caramelized potatoes and red cabbage. Finally risalamande with cherry sauce is served – and whoever finds the whole almond wins the almond gift.
The julefrokost is held in December with colleagues, family or friends, and you toast with Christmas beer and aquavit. It's one of the longest and cosiest meals of the year – and with a food truck it can be held anywhere: in the canteen, at the office or outdoors.
