Zealand is the region where the Danish street-food market grew up — and the region where we have the most trucks. A food truck makes sense on Zealand because the distances are short, the island is compact, and there's a strong tradition of both street parties in the capital and rural events out in the country. For a corporate party in Roskilde, a wedding near Helsingør or a summer party by Køge Bay, a food truck means the kitchen comes out to the guests — outdoors, by the fjord or on a farm — instead of ready-made food on trays. Typical distances: Copenhagen–Roskilde 35 km, Copenhagen–Køge 40 km, Copenhagen–Næstved 80 km, Copenhagen–Helsingør 45 km. The travel surcharge follows our fixed 10 DKK/km rate from the nearest base — and for trucks based close to your event it is often waived entirely. We know the big regional events on Zealand — Roskilde Festival, Køge Sommerfest, culture festivals in Helsingør and municipal events in Næstved and Holbæk — and we plan capacity for the high season May–September well in advance.

Zealand's street-food season peaks May–September, but the island has events year round. Roskilde Festival in late June is the biggest single event — we supply food to volunteer camps, backstage events and side-events through the festival week, and it requires booking 6–8 weeks ahead. Køge Sommerfest and culture festivals in Helsingør pull crowds in July–August. Municipal events in Næstved and Holbæk — town fairs, market days and summer concerts — fall in the same window. Outside high season, corporate parties at the hotels outside Roskilde, weddings by the fjord and Christmas lunches in the smaller towns are the most frequent jobs. For the big regional events we set up 2–4 trucks as a mini street-food market; for smaller private parties we match a single truck with the shortest drive. The earlier you book for the summer weekends — especially for Roskilde Festival and harbour parties — the better we match a truck with the shortest drive from its base.

On Zealand we drive to corporate parties in Copenhagen and Roskilde (60–250 guests), weddings near Helsingør and Køge Bay (50–140 guests), summer parties by the fjord (100–350 guests), municipal town fairs in Næstved and Holbæk (200–500 guests) and festival events like Roskilde Festival (up to 400 guests per truck). For the big town fairs and festivals we set up several trucks, so guests can choose between kitchens and queues stay short. For weddings and private parties we match a single truck — often a burger or crêpes wagon — that can set up in a garden or by the fjord. On Zealand the rules vary from municipality to municipality — the City of Copenhagen requires a setup permit, but out in the smaller towns it's often simpler. Parking: we always secure a permit from the local municipality; for events on harbour areas (Køge, Roskilde, Helsingør) we apply to the harbour office. Power: for events out in the country and by the fjord we match a truck with its own generator or gas, so no cables need running across the lawn. Space: out on Zealand there's often plenty of room — on farms, in gardens and by the beaches — but in the small town centres we match a truck that can manoeuvre tightly.
